Is it wrong to watch the neighbors horses graze along while looking at possible shot angles for elk or moose? The other day I was waiting for the grill to get right and the next door horses were grazing head on when one turned quartering away and kind of unconsciously I leaned out in my chair looking at it through some Bradford pear limbs when my wife who I didn't know was behind me piped up and jerked me back to reality with "right behind the last rib and out behind the left shoulder and that is so wrong". I was busted...

Haaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything you can do for mental preparedness is OK in my book.

Just let me know before you show up here, so I can put all the horses in the barn. LOL

Actually I do the same thing. All the time.

When I was getting ready for the Csape Buffalo hunt I spent alot of time picking spots on a Angus bull... But we both may be a little strange

One year when we took our kids to the zoo I took my range finder and practiced the art of range estimation. I got an awful lot of funny looks that day.

I guess it's no worse than me trying to figure out if that cow is a 9 iron or an 8 iron away.....

Cool Idea Justin, Go on safari and never leave the state.

I thought so, but I don't think the zoo keepers really saw my point.

I do that all the time but my favorite is going to Cabelas and lining up the perfect shot on all the full size critters on the Mountain .... I think a 3D shoot at Cabelas would be a lot of fun !

I have always thought that myself. I am glad to see that I am not alone!

I do it all the time when the neighbor's cats are stalking around the yard, looking for food that my better half leaves out.

My wife thinks I see targets on every animal!

At least your wife knows how the shot should go.
