if your looking for an excellent piece of rain gear that you will never have to replace, I would look at the sitka stormfront series. It is as tough as nails, I hunted 10 days stright in british columbia this year and not once did I get wet.

I would go for Peter Storm. I have not tried it yet, but it will be my next set. John

I have a Peter Storm rainsuit. Best raingear I have ever owned. If you get wet in that stuff, you should stay home.

I use a Military Pancho liner.

If it starts to rain, I just pull it out of my pack, or my hip quiver side pocket, and pull it on over my other clothing.

I use it while hunting, and have used it lots of times at 3D shoots.

It has kept me dry in some of the worst mountain thunderstorms I have ever seen, and I have no trouble shooting with it on.

By the way - It can double as a small tent/shelter, and can be used quite effectively as a small ground concealment/blind when the need arises. Just carry some small cord, or rope with you, and you got the bases covered.
