Has anyone removed the beaver tail wrap from a take down PL or PSR? Is it a metal sleeve underneath or does it look like a riser on a one peice PL/PSR?
I have decided I like the feel of the grip better without the wrap and took the wraps off my one piece bows but not sure about the takedown.
Thanks

It is a black/dark gray carbon/glass shaped sleeve.

Thanks Ken, I guess I will be keeping the wrap on that bow.

BMejia, Don't know if it would be any better for you than the Beaver Tail, but they originally come with the Shure Grip. I have the Shure Grip on my HS Takedown and I like the feel. It is just smooth form fitting "rubber". No slip or movement what so ever on the handle and is thin. Only difference from bare handle is your hand doesn't "slide" into place, and it's warmer in cold weather. Again, I like it but a grip is definitely a personal choice. They're like $7 from BW. I've never tried the Beaver Tail so I can't tell you differences. I sure like the "idea" of a Beaver Tail grip. Just a thought if it wasn't on your radar!
