I just won a Covert II Trail Cam - anyone have one? Are they good cams - any tips on using them? I am picking it up tomorrow.

All the reviews I've read said they were exceptional cameras. I have a couple friends that love theirs as well. It will be my next trail cam more than likely.

It looks very similar to the Bushnell one for $200.00 in Cabela's. A friend of mine just got one but has not checked the card yet. They are small and supposedly should last a full season on a set of AA batteries. Likely my next camera as well.

I have a couple of the regular DLC coverts, I think the set up and operation is the same with both. They are great! Take great pics, trigger time couldnt be faster. They conserve energy so batteries last and last. In fact I have one thats been out since Sep. and its still going on the same batteries with a hundred or more pics. I think you will be happy

do you ever get blurry photos - I have a cuddeback no flash and if the deer are moving - the photos are blurry - very disappointed in that camera - and I used to think that Cuddeback's were the top of the line - and I think they were - but not anymore.

Sometimes, but Coverts have a setting which snaps 2 or 3 continous photos. When in this mode the second and third are good.

Well - I got a defective one - I set it up in the yard to test it and when I walked by from the right it would take the photo before I was in front of the camera - When I walked in front of it from the left it was just fine.
The photos that turned out are much better than the ones from my Cuddeback - the cuddeback ones were all blurry where my arms and legs were moving - but not with the DLC Covert.
I called the owner and he is sending me a new one and letting me keep this one till I get the new one - He said that when it was assembled the sensor must have not be properly squared on the housing - he told me how to do a quick fix till I get the new one if I wanted to keep using it.
Very nice and very good customer service - hope the new camera is as good as their customer service.
Will let you know.
