WIDOW WALL forum Code of Conduct

The objective of the Widow Wall is to provide a forum for Black Widow Bow owners to exchange information, ideas, problems, solutions, experiences, etc. in a helpful and positive atmosphere that generates a spirit of camaraderie and friendship.

We have comprised a list of rules that all contributors to this forum must adhere to. These rules are to ensure that people participating in these forums are treated with respect and enjoy a positive experience. The rules are incontestable. People found in violation of this code may have their names removed from the database. Second offenders may be unable to make future contributions or visits.

There are a number of editors who monitor this forum. While we strive for fairness and objectivity, editing is a subjective process that is not perfect – and may seem inconsistent from editor to editor. Posts that appear do not necessarily mean that they have been reviewed by our editors and meet our criteria for acceptance.

All contributions are the responsibility of the person who submitted them as stated in their registration and posting agreement.

The staff of Black Widow Bows and The Bowsite reserve the right to remove any post, topic or person for any reason we deem inappropriate.

1. NO PROFANITY. This includes cursing, sexual innuendo and vulgarities.

2. NO THREATNING, HARASSING OR ABUSIVE REMARKS.

3. NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS OR COMPARISONS DIRECTED AT OTHER BOWYERS, EQUIPMENT OR MANUFACTURERS.

4. NO TOPICS AND/OR STATEMENTS WHICH COULD BE USED TO REFLECT POORLY ON ARCHERY AND/OR BOWHUNTING. Since the WIDOW WALL may be visited by anti-hunting and non-hunting individuals, we feel it is necessary to remove those topics or statements which could be used against us, or tarnish our image. While the contributors original intent may be good, if it can provide ammunition to the media to use against our sport, it will be removed.

5. BLACK WIDOW STAFF CONTRIBUTING POSTS. The staff of Black Widow Bows will participate in this forum as a courtesy to those who visit as we see opportunities to contribute suggestions, ideas, clarification, etc. We are in no way bound or committed to this act, but will contribute according to needs and as time permits.

6. LIMITED ADVERTISING. We WILL allow the sales and trading of Black Widow bows and related merchandise. Any other merchandise or bows will NOT be allowed to be advertised or traded. Habitual abusers of this policy will be removed from the database.

7. NO DISCUSSION, OR CHALLENGE TO OUR EDITING POLICY ARE ALLOWED WITHIN THE CONFERENCES. If you disagree as to why a particular topic, post, or person was removed, you may e-mail us at info@blackwidowbows.com for clarification. We will not respond to any inquiries or challenges on our public forums, however, we will respond to e-mail inquiries.

8. CONTRIBUTORS WHO ARE ARGUMENTIVE, INTOLERANT, CONFRONTAIONAL OR LACK RESPECT FOR OTHERS WILL BE REMOVED. While discussion of ideas and viewpoints is healthy, habitual debaters who seek confrontation will be removed and blocked from making future contributions. This is necessary to ensure a positive experience for the great majority of our users.

9. NO HTML MAY BE PLACED IN YOUR MESSAGE (e.g. links or graphics). The reason for this is that too many people miss a quote mark or a bracket or something else and it ruins the entire thread and could possibly hang the server. It also could be used to link to unsavory type stuff, so it is prohibited.

10. The most important rule in this code is for you to enjoy the Widow Wall to the best of your ability at all times. That’s what it’s for.
