I took a ride down to Shadow Hunter LLC on the lunch hour (9 miles away)and picked up a set of brackets to turn the swing set into a an elevated shooting platform.

If you have not seen this stuff, please go to the web site. Made in Michigan, USA!

Anyway, I figure I might splurge next year and get the biggest one they make and install it out on my farm so I can bring my wife with me. My neighbor just put one up and told me to check it out this Sunday after he leaves--it is up 14' with a 3' deck before the door on top of the steps. He is older and has a bad shoulder and now has to use an arrow gun or powder gun.

The little propane stove bottles and a heater element will make it T-shirt temps inside in 5 minutes! Rodent proof.

I am going to put mine up with an 8'x8' platform and set my DB blind on top--anchor it with lag bolts or some pins I am thinking of. But for starters, just some 2x4 boards in the corner slots and camo burlap, with maybe a tan patio umbrella panted camo for rain (use as needed).

These are not cheap--well over a grand once you get into it--but when you are over age 50, it's nice to watch foot ball on TV with heat in an office chair while hunting! Digital ready portable TV's at Best Buy for under $150.00!

Just kidding--it would be nice to have a wx proof bow friendly elevated stand when the snow goes sideways and the temps drop!

But for that kind of money and all the work that goes into it why not buy one already done..and for alot less money.

Buy one what? A bracket? Or a house? No profit factored in if you build your own house. You determine size, windows, wiring and where you chimney and antenna will be.

Sorry about the douuble post-got sidetracked by wife last night.
